Belle Voix
Belle Voix (fr. beautiful voice) is a Chamber ensemble of auditioned singers from Wilmington and the surrounding areas. They have been in existence since 1959, then known as the Breck’s Mill Madrigal Singers. In 1969 they were incorporated as a self-supporting, non-profit organization. Since its reorganization in the Spring of 2000 and under the artistic direction of Jeffrey Anderson, they have emerged as an ensemble dedicated to musical excellence in the choral art. The musical aim of the group is to bring to audiences a musical experience of great chamber choral music of all periods and genres, which led to changing their name to Belle Voix, which better defines their intention for thirty singers to sound as one voice. They completed a concert tour of England and Wales in 2003.
